How does your usual day look like?
I typically start my day with a set morning routine; cucumber on my eyes while I meditate for a few minutes, then 10 mins of yoga, followed by a green smoothie (recipe below) which I leave to blend while I do my skincare routine. This is the basic start before I get on calls with my team and get stuck into work.

When possible, I like to walk & talk on the phone - avoiding Zoom calls if I can! (Especially if it's just a conversation between two people - a phone call solves that!).

I'll either have a day where I'm out & about - meeting people, attending events, networking… Or I'm based at home with no make-up and sweats with my head down on computer work!

Come evening, if I'm not at an event or meeting friends for dinner then I'll be enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal by my other half, watching a good show on TV - bliss!

Steph's green smoothie recipe:
A fistful of washed spinach
One kale leaf
Half an avocado
Half frozen banana
Approx. 100ml of apple juice
Approx. 100ml of coconut milk
Chunk of ginger
½ tsp of spirulina
What are the things you like the most about your job?
Catching up with my team, reviewing reports to see the impact of our work, creating content to promote my business, and networking.
What are some of the skills you utilise the most in your day-to-day?
Communication, empathy, creativity, patience.
What was one of your happiest days in your career and why?
Getting interviewed by Starling. Recognition by a much bigger (and female-led) organisation, and getting the chance to share our story was so exciting.
What was the toughest career decision you ever made?
Firing talent or clients.
What is something you had to learn to become better at your job?
Fight the execution muscle and learn how to delegate.
Also treating yourself as the company's most valuable asset. Suddenly self-care doesn't seem so selfish then.
How did you get to become an owner of a Brand Marketing Agency?
I took matters into my own hands and created my own business. Honestly as a service-based business the barriers to entry are relatively low; all I needed was a website, laptop, and accountant to get started.
What's the one piece of career advice you have for anyone interested in starting an agency?
Do it! Life is too short :)
What's your number one productivity hack / when or how are you most effective?
Get enough sleep.
What makes you gracefullyBOLD?
Being confident without being arrogant. Caring about yourself while also caring about others. Knowing your worth and how it positively impacts others.
How do you spend your weekends or downtimes?
Resting in different forms - either sleeping or physically relaxing, or turning my attention to something unrelated to work to rest my brain.
How do you deal with stress and build resilience?
I'm still learning! But meditation, getting outside, movement, and venting to friends always help.
What would have been your alternative career path or alternative University degree?
Illustrator, animator or actress.
